Introducing AL&EON!
As an avid creator, I'm excited to unveil a new comic strip alongside my ongoing graphic novel project, "LUNA LILY." While "LUNA LILY" is an extensive endeavor, projected to span approximately 240 pages, comic strips present a more immediate medium of storytelling. This allows me to maintain a consistent presence in the creative landscape, vital for an independent artist.
My passion for classic newspaper comics dates back to my childhood, where they served as a source of inspiration and aspiration. Despite the changing times, with the advent of the internet and the decline of newspaper circulation, the essence of those cherished Sunday Funnies—vibrant in color and rich with humor—remains timeless. It is this essence that I strive to capture and modernize in my work.
The comic strip I've crafted, "AL&EON," is a homage to that golden era, blending a vintage aesthetic with contemporary sensibilities. While the iconic days of "Peanuts," "Garfield," "Calvin and Hobbes," "The Far Side," and "Dilbert" may have transitioned to book format, their initial magic is unparalleled. I hope to channel that sense of wonder and communal joy through "AL&EON."
In this special edition(below), I've condensed the entire backstory of "AL&EON" into four succinct panels, introducing EON's extraordinary origin from a planet where canines have mastered interstellar travel, and humans are companions. The adventure unfolds as they find themselves marooned, in a familiar yet foreign world.
